Perry’s Personal Travel Plans

I think I should get “danger money” for working at Travel Team, with all the temptations I’m exposed to every day of the week! Just like Superman and kryptonite... And I still get excited, and yes, sometimes I literally have my breath taken away, when I see some of the travel that is available to us all.

So what are my current holiday plans?

My family and I are really looking forward to our first ever Founder’s Tour, that has been created to incorporate what I just love in holidays; Europe, a “White Christmas”, Europe River Cruising, historic towns and villages and much more. There are just two cabins left on this package, have a look here for details of this small group tour, that includes Zermatt, right under the famous Matterhorn, a trip on the slowest express train in Europe, the Glacier Express, right across snow-covered Switzerland, before some “Sound of Music” experiences in Salzburg, followed by eleven wonderful nights on a Europe River Cruise, visiting Vienna, Durnstein, Linz, Passau, Budapest and Bratislava. We’ll sail out of Budapest on Christmas Day. After this, we’re off to Cesky Krumlov and then Prague for New Year’s Eve. Sounds like a perfect holiday!

Then, several months later, I’m off to Europe again, on our second Founder’s Tour, and yep, it’s on another Europe River Cruise – this will be my eighth, so far! We’ve chartered a five star ship, MS William Shakespeare, to cruise from Amsterdam down to Basel in Switzerland and then back up to Cologne for fifteen glorious days. There are some wonderful tours with this river cruise, from Heidelberg to Strasbourg to Speyer to a full day in the Black Forest and a visit to cuckoo clock specialists – we still have our cuckoo clock from one of our previous European holidays.

This is the third time we’ve chartered a Europe River Cruise ship, and I was so blown away at all the photos of Keukenhof Gardens just outside Amsterdam, with its eighty acres of tulips, seven million of them, that we’ve included it as an optional tour on this package, because I definitely want to do it. However, we have quite a few Privilege Club members who have been on one of our first two charters, who have already visited Keukenhof, who may prefer to visit more of Amsterdam this time, which is why it isn’t included in our package, unlike the first two charters, but is available as an optional tour. Have a look here for more details of next year’s Regal Rhine River Cruise (did I ever tell you I love alliteration…) And as next year is when we celebrate our twentieth birthday, we’ll be having some extra highlights on this cruise! I can’t wait!
