This 10 day tour has been put together to show you the best of all of this and more! Feast your eyes on the popular sights as well as being blown away by the art and culture, intriguing folk traditions and tantalizing food.
Beginning in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, you’ll have two days to explore the amazing sights or this city and it’s surroundings.
Your journey will then take you right down the middle of Taiwan to Sun Moon Lake. Along the way stopping at the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword.
You will then travel to Kaohsiung, the second largest city of Taiwan, visiting Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery along the way. Here you will learn about Buddhism and even get the opportunity to communicate with some of the monks and nuns.
Your next stop will be at the most southern tip of Taiwan to Kenting National Park. This is definitely an incredible sight as it has around 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline along three sides of the park. Your tour then starts to head back up the East Coast National Scenic Area, known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land”, stretching 170 kilometres down the east coast of the island.
You last stop will be to Taroko National Park where you’ll visit Taroko Gorge, an exceptionally beautiful, narrow ravine created by the Liwu River which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble.
This small island contains a world of contrasts and an infusion of cultural influences that you’re not likely to find in any other country.
