Experience the majestic beauty and amazing culture of New Zealand as you travel through the South and North Islands.
This tour will see you visit some of New Zealand’s major cities; Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Wellington and Auckland. You’ll also pass through smaller towns where you’ll get the chance to enjoy some extraordinary sights including: Mt Cook (New Zealand’s highest peak), Larnach Castle, Bowen Falls, Lake Taupo, Huka Falls, Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock.
This tour really highlights the magnificence of New Zealand. One of the great things about travelling in New Zealand is that there is so much to see and experience, in such a small area, so you won’t be driving massive distances, like in some parts of Australia, between attractions. In fact, they’ve designed and built coaches with two doors, to reduce the time you’ll spend getting on and off the coach so frequently, meaning they can include extra sightseeing in each day.
One of the special included highlights is a cruise on TSS Earnslaw, a vintage twin screw steamer launched in 1912, cruising across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station for dinner in front of the Colonel’s Homestead, overlooking the lake, followed by a guided farm tour. Yes, of course there are sheep, this is New Zealand, after all! Then you’ll cruise back to Queenstown, with an old-fashioned sing along by the piano. You can watch the steam engine working while you cruise, and think how things were in a former era.
Travel Team has been sending two coach tours of travel club members to New Zealand since 2001, so if you want to find out why these wonderful, friendly tours are so popular, you know what to do.
